The School of Open Major aims to develop talented students who will explore various academic fields, including the aerospace field, and pioneer the future according to their aptitudes and future plans. Students complete a series of core and major courses in their freshman year and enter their respective schools or departments in their sophomore year.
In the School of Open Major, students can enroll in the majors offered by each department. In their freshman year, students take foundational courses in each department to prepare for the major and broaden their perspective through the major exploration seminar, which is a required course. Students can find their careers based on their choice of school or major.
Students prepare for the major by taking core courses in the College of Engineering, College of AI Convergence, and College of Aviation and Management during their freshman year. During this time, they also gain specific information about majors and careers in individual departments through special seminars organized by academic advisors in the College of Engineering, College of AI Convergence, and College of Aviation and Management. In their sophomore year, students transfer to an individual department and follow the major program of the department they choose to study.
