Seoul International Aerospace & Defense Exhibition

THE EVENT:

The Seoul International Aerospace & Defense Exhibition (ADEX) is a six-day airshow that consists of an Indoor Exhibition, Outdoor Exhibition and Flying Display & Aerobatics Display. 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) is looking for KAU students to assist us in our exhibition stand during all six days of the show.  Students will serve as a representative of ERAU and assist university staff with translation as needed.  Students will be expected to engage with visitors to the ERAU booth and answer general questions about the university.  A member or ERAU staff will be present to assist with questions that are not able to be answered. This is a unique opportunity to gain access as an exhibitor to the largest airshow in Korea.  All students will be trained on ERAU facts, figures and talking points prior to the show.

REQUIREMENTS:

·         Knowledge of the corresponding terminology in English and Korean;

·         Loud voice and clear articulation;

·         Ability to grasp and interpret the main thing, despite the mass of distracting and stirring factors;

·         Skill to communicate with visitors in a professional manner

HOURS:

Students are expected to be able to work at least one full-day from 9am to 5pm or two half-days from either 9am ? 1pm or 1pm to 5pm.  Students able to work more than one shift are preferred.  The opportunity to work all six-days is also available. The show will run from Tuesday 15 October through Sunday 20 October.  ADEX will take place at the Seoul Airport near the Taepyeong Station (Bundang-Line) or Moran Station (Line-8 & Bundang-Line).

HOURLY PAY:

Students will be paid an hourly rate of KRW 10,000 as well as an allowance for transportation in addition to a paid lunch break for those working a full-day shift.
